About the authors:

Gail Mazur is the founding director of the Blacksmith House Poetry series and the author of six previous books of poems, including They Can't Take That Away from Me, a finalist for the National Book Award. She has won fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Bunting Insitute of Radcliffe College as well as the St. Botolph Club Foundation Distinguished Artist Award.

LLOYD SCHWARTZ is the Frederick S. Troy Professor of English Emeritus at the University of Massachusetts Boston, the longtime classical music critic for NPR’s Fresh Air, scholar and editor of the works of Elizabeth Bishop, and the current Poet Laureate of Somerville, MA. Among his awards are NEA and Guggenheim Foundation fellowships for his poetry and a Pulitzer Prize for Criticism. His poems have been selected for the Pushcart Prize, The Best American Poetry, and The Best of the Best American Poetry. His most recent poetry collections are Little Kisses (2017) and Who’s on First? New and Selected Poems published in 2021.

Nicole Terez Dutton's work has appeared in CallalooPloughshares32 PoemsIndiana Review and Salt Hill Journal.  Nicole earned an MFA from Brown University and has received fellowships from the Frost Place, the Fine Arts Work Center, Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. Her collection of poems, If One Of Us Should Fall, was selected as the winner of the 2011 Cave Canem Poetry Prize. She teaches in the Solstice Low-Residency MFA Program and is the Editor of the Kenyon Review.
