Join us as we celebrate Bird Week at Byrd's Books! On Sunday October 15th at 3:00pm, we will host Bruce Degen of Magic School Bus fame as he discusses his book, Scoot: A Tiny New York Bird with a Great Big Idea. This sweet picture book is about a little sparrow who has the idea to help her bird friend navigate the lights in New York City during migration. Bruce will bring original art and tell how the book came to be and his ideas for the illustrations.We will host the Audubon Center at Bent of the River on Wednesday October 18th at 7:00pm. Kate Pratt will do a presentation on, "How to monitor your Bluebird boxes and be a good landlord" and discuss migration and how to assist our avian travelers.
The entire week we will have special titles, special give-aways and book specials that feature birds!
